To our wonderful Dinner in White supporters,
Last Saturday night, due to the severe weather and the resulting dangerous condition of the site, we were forced to make the decision to cancel the Fourth Annual Dinner in White. This call was made in the best interest of everyone attending and involved, because it came down to one word: “safety”.
This was a devastating decision to make considering all of the planning, effort, and cost involved in this event, but one we felt was absolutely necessary. In the aftermath of this situation, our team, with the careful direction from various board members, decided that because of the uniqueness of this event we will not be rescheduling it this year. We understand the concerns you probably have regarding the financial support and/or ticket purchases for the 2013 Dinner in White event. We would like to offer you the following options for handling your ticket purchases and/or donations:
1) You can allow us to keep your gift and still put it toward the programs and research being done at the University of Colorado Cancer Center. We will change your purchase to a 100% tax deductible donation.
2) We can refund your registration or donation directly back to you. You will receive your refund via mail in the next few weeks, should you choose this option.
We ask that you contact us with your decision by replying to this email no later than Friday, August 23rd, 2013 in an effort to help us close the 2013 event. If we don’t hear from you by Friday, August 23rd, we will consider your ticket a donation and it will be put toward the programs and research at the University of Colorado Cancer Center. We are happy to support your decision and apologize for any inconvenience this unfortunate circumstance may have caused you. Your support of this event is tremendous and has been truly appreciated.
